The
Clayton & McCulloh Philosophy
Unlike
many firms, Clayton & McCulloh
follows a policy of performing the full range of representation for its
association clients. Each attorney at Clayton & McCulloh actively represents
associations, unit owners, and developers.
The practice is not limited to any single type of client.
Based on our experience, this broad range of representation
enables us to appreciate better the
various positions that can be taken by divergent parties in
a given set of circumstances.
This approach enables the attorneys to anticipate defenses and
positions which opposing parties in any negotiation, litigation, or
other matters might raise. Typically,
this background enables Clayton & McCulloh to avoid controversies
and litigation and reduces risks for its clients.
Besides
not limiting ourselves to any single type of client, we can handle most
aspects of community association representation.
The attorneys at Clayton & McCulloh are not just
"transactional" attorneys or "litigation" attorneys.
Each attorney's experience in negotiating and drafting legal
documents (such as contracts, covenants and restrictions, and other
memoranda) helps to anticipate and avoid litigation.
Conversely, when a problem does arise, the firm's ability to
litigate aggressively has provided invaluable insight into how problems
could have been avoided and as to the proper method of drafting
documents for clients to
achieve the results desired and intended.
As
such, while Clayton & McCulloh does mainly represent associations,
it has and continues to represent other types of clients. Such representation sharpens our skills and enhances the
level of service to our clients. For example, the firm also represents
several very large developers of residential and commercial properties.
Building
long term professional relationships with a personal touch has been the
foundation of our firm. As
part of that foundation, we are pleased to have a Client Services
Department headed up by our Director of Public Relations and Client
Services who is also a paralegal available to work closely with our
new associations. This
unique position within our firm was created to meet the growing demand
of this ever changing area of law.
Our Director of Public Relations & Client Services is a past
director of a community association and networks with hundreds of
associations throughout Florida gathering information, knowledge, and
materials that are available on a complimentary basis to our clients.
In fact, to our knowledge, Clayton & McCulloh is the only
Central Florida Community Association law firm to have a department of
four full-time support staff dedicated to client services such as
education.
